Review of the SMART4ALL webinar on 3rd CTTE Open Call
On December 7th 2022, SMART4ALL successfully organized a webinar on Competitive Proposal Preparation for the 3rd CTTE Open Call (deadline January 17th), in order to offer information, clarification, assistance and good practices to potential applicants looking for funding and coaching services.
The event was attended by more than 20 persons, mainly researchers and SMEs’ representatives from SEE countries, involved in digital innovation activities. During the webinar, which was moderated by Zoran Mitrovic, Professor at the Faculty of Technical Sciences Novi Sad (FTN), participants were initially introduced to SMART4ALL basic principles and services by Christos Antonopoulos, Assistant Professor at the University of Peloponnese (UoP) and technical manager of SMART4ALL.
The program of the webinar included presentations by SMART4ALL partners to assist attendees with the procedure of preparing a proposal for a Cross-domain Technology Transfer Experiment. In specific, Antonio Montalvo and Lynda O’Mahony, senior project manager and project & product manager respectively at FundingBox, explained all the details of the 3rd Open Call on CTTE and presented the platform for submitting applications, while Florian Fricke, Head of SMART4ALL Mentoring Committee, offered advice on writing a cohesive, competitive proposal and Christos Antonopoulos highlighted things to avoid when preparing a proposal, based on reviews of submitted applications from previous calls.
On the last webinar presentation, Stefan Meulesteen, managing director at Montr BV and representative of FLEXCLEC 1st CTTE winning project shared with potential applicants his insights and tips for a successful proposal and execution of a CTTE, underlining the significance of producing social impact through technology experiments.
