SMART4ALL Digitized Environment & Digitized Agriculture special session in Tirana – 23rd of February, 2024

The SMART4ALL team continues offering opportunities of showcasing success stories to promote funded projects’ sustainability, while expanding its network including local stakeholders from the Balkans, that can be benefitted by the Marketplace services. With this purpose, the Metropolitan Tirana University (MTU) organizes a special session devoted on Digitized Environment and Digitized Agriculture application domains, on 23rd of February in Tirana (Albania), in the context of SMART4ALL activities that are addressed to academic and industrial entities as well as individuals (developers, entrepreneurs, university students, researchers, investors etc.), local agencies, chambers and other stakeholders.

The session, which will be held at the Piramid of Tirana, will begin with a welcome speech by the Rector of MTU, prof. Nikolla Civici, and with some opening remarks by the Vice Minister of Tourism and Environment of Albania, Ms. Almira Xhembulla and the Vice Minister of Agriculture, Mr. Enio Civici. A presentation of SMART4ALL by the project coordinator, prof. Nikolaos Voros (University of Peloponnese) will follow.

The agenda is full of interesting presentations of:

- experiments that have been funded by SMART4ALL

- open calls for funding of projects on 5G, IoT/edge/cloud computing,

- tips and advice for raising funds from investors and for the preparation of project proposals before submission for cascade funding (in type of a workshop/ mentoring session)

A panel discussion on “Innovation in Digitized Environment & Agriculture” with the participation of experts and project beneficiaries will be also hosted, aiming at identifying emerging trends, challenges and opportunities and at sharing insights and best practices on these sectors.

The event promises to offer a unique opportunity for local and regional stakeholders to learn more about funding opportunities, to be inspired by success stories, to get useful advice on how to submit competitive proposals and network with potential partners on collaborative projects.
